Everything you learn in school will help you discover and come to know the world about you. You’ll read and write about this world, and look through the eyes of a mathematician and scientist and see what they see. And as you begin to see the world through the eyes of others, you start to see yourself in it, as a writer, a pilot, an artist, an inventor—the list goes on forever.

Here in middle school is where you begin to discover the possibilities of what you might become—the things you might do. And the more you learn, the greater number of possibilities you get to choose from.

Good reading, writing, and math skills are a big part of creating a future of opportunities. Those skills will help you get through high school and into college. They will also help you do well while you’re in college, and help you stay there, too.

So study hard and get good grades—your education is your ticket to financial success. Here’s something to remember, always: The more you learn the more you earn.

And now, a word on math...
