Maybe I’ll Join the Military
Some young people join the military after graduating from high school. While you are in the military, you might receive training that you can use later to get a job. Depending on how long you serve, you can earn money to help pay for college.
Another way to pay for a college education is to apply to join the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC). You or some of your friends might be in the Junior ROTC now at your high school.
If you are accepted into an ROTC program, you may be offered a scholarship to help pay for college. But it’s very important to remember this: If you accept an ROTC scholarship, you agree to serve in the military for a number of years after you graduate from college.
